As noted in the reading, some states and professional organizations have developed additional regulations (beyond the PHS policy, AWA/AWR and the Guide), guidance or policies related to the use of animals in research. Choose a state or local law or professional organization’s guidance/policy about animal use in research and in 1-2 paragraphs summarize its main tenants as well as why you think it was developed by that state/municipality or organization.  Please see the list of organizations in this chapter for ideas.  Please do not utilize an institutional/university policy for this assignment.
