IACUC Member On-line Training – Starting January 13, 2017.

MSMR offers on-line training for prospective and new IACUC members, staff, PIs, and non-affiliate (community) members.

The program consists of six weekly lessons plus exercises. Our instructor holds teleconference office hours each week to help students with the lessons and to facilitate discussions among classmates. Successful completion of each weekly module is required before the student progresses to the next module.

Who should attend: If you are a new non-affiliated (community) IACUC member or are new to IACUC membership or IACUC administration and have not yet had the chance to take IACUC 101 or a similar program and want to get a good foundation, this course is also for you.

Fee:
– MSMR member – $200 [any employee of an MSMR member organization]
– non-MSMR member – $250

Dates: The program will begin on January 13, 2017, and continue for six weeks.

Deadline to sign up: January 10, 2017, or when registration reaches 15 students.

Class size: Limited to 15 students per session. Subsequent sessions are scheduled but will be approximately 3 months later.

Workload: The student’s time commitment is about 1 – 3 hours per week plus instructor conference call office hours in which the student chooses to participate.

Instructor conference call office hours: Tuesday evenings from 8pm – 9pm EST.  All students must participate in at least the first two office hours sessions. If you are registering a colleague, please notify him or her of this requirement.
