Promoting Scholarship & Solutions in Business and the Academy The Research Integrity and Compliance Symposium is a two day event with focused workshop and plenary sessions on developing or improving compliance and understanding of the regulations impacting today’s businesses and academic institutions. From newcomers to the field to experts there is always something new to learn at the Symposium.

This year the Symposium is expanding to a full-day on Thursday, will include offerings such as NCURA workshop, Lean Process and Regulatory Compliance. Friday will feature a full day of workshops across these fields, including for the first‐time a selection of one‐hour, peer‐reviewed presentations. In addition, the Symposium will feature poster presentations.

Keynote Speaker

Heather H. Pierce, J.D., M.P.H.

Heather Pierce is Senior Director for Science Policy and Regulatory Counsel at the Association of American Medical Colleges (AAMC).  She serves as AAMC’s staff leader for scientific regulatory issues including clinical research, conflicts of interest, evidence­based regulation, and collaborations between industry, government, and academia in biomedical research.  She is also the program leader for the AAMC’s Forum on Conflict of Interest in Academe and for Convey, the AAMC’s global financial interest disclosure system.
